The Misty Meadows Mission

At Misty Meadows Farm, our mission is to raise the highest-quality Certified Organic eggs through ethical, sustainable farming that supports the health of our hens, our soil, and our community. We’re committed to transparency, humane practices, and nourishing families with food that’s as pure and honest as the land it comes from.

From Three Chickens to a Full Pasture

Misty Meadows Farm started in 2005 as Melissa and Mark Moeller’s household flock of three chickens. The couple fell in love with the flavor of farm-fresh eggs and decided to share the delicious eggs with their community.

Over the years, Melissa and Mark grew their flock to 2,000 birds. They not only created the name “Misty Meadows,” but also set a standard for chicken rearing. But while the farm grew, the mission stayed the same: raise healthy chickens, protect the land, and never compromise the quality of their organic free range eggs.

New Beginnings for Misty Meadows

In 2022, Melissa and Mark decided to move on to other endeavors but they knew they wanted to keep Misty Meadows in their community. After months of searching, in stepped David and Scott, second-generation owner of Grace Harbor Farms.

Together, they decided to keep Misty Meadows authentic, preserving what the Moellers had built. They didn’t come with big promises but with a commitment to keep the farm true to its roots, focusing on quality, care, and sustainability.

A Sister Farm to Grace Harbor Farm

Today, Misty Meadows—now Misty Meadows  Organics—continues under the care of David, Scott, and the Grace Harbor team. The same location. The same pasture-raised chickens. The same values.

David and Scott understand what makes Misty Meadows Organics special. They have no plans to turn it into a large operation. They believe in local, slow, honest food. Their goal is to protect the land, keep the chickens healthy, and offer organic free range eggs that meet the highest standards.

Their farms now work side by side. Grace Harbor provides clean dairy. Misty Meadows provides pasture raised eggs and other organic products. Both support small-scale farming with deep roots in the community.

More Than Chickens Ducks and Organic Farm Products

The farm started with chickens, but the vision grew. David and Scott saw a demand for duck eggs, loved for baking, allergies, and their rich texture. They added a small flock of pasture-raised ducks, which lay larger, more nutritious eggs.

The farm will also expand to offer organic farm produce like raw honey, coffee, maple syrup, and garlic. Each item follows the same values—clean, local, and true to the land. These These additions allow us to offer more wholesome, fresh products to our community.

What Comes Next for Misty Meadows Organics

Misty Meadows Organics will continue to grow, but we’ll never lose sight of what matters. We’ll keep raising chickens and ducks on pasture. We’ll keep farming organically. We’ll keep delivering organic eggs you can count on.
